Village Angler Bass Fishing Guide Service

Lake Toho East
Lake Toho East

Lake Toho East: (Approx. 10,000 acres) is the 2nd largest Lake, located in its entirety, in Osceola County, Florida, averaging 8 to 10 feet in depth, at normal pool. Its primary inflow is Boggy Creek, which rises in the Orlando International Airport area. It is linked to West Lake Toho via the 3 mile long St. Cloud #31 Canal (non-navigable)

1990 DRAWDOWN: This drawdown was primarily a dewatering event with very little muck removal. Cattails, pickerelweed (flags), and exotic species such as torpedo grass were targeted for eradication. Burning and discing were the two primary removal methods used.

The primary emergent aquatic types of vegetation are pepper grasses, maiden cane, Kissimmee grasses, bull rushes, lily pads, and cattails. Bottom growing types are eel, shrimp, and musk grasses. East Lake Toho is a popular “Speckled Perch” destination, and is the home port for Boggy Creek Airboat Rides, one of the largest outfitters in the State of Florida, with a sister location on West Lake Toho.
